he gave up a 4 run lead in the 9th yesterday causing us to lose and he was in trouble again tonight...but he just pulled it out.

Closer troubles seem to just follow the Mets wherever they go...case and point Armando Benetez...:shudder:

5. sounds like the Billy we knew and, at times, loathed.

Everyone loved to see him throw smoke but he gets himself in trouble when he tries to "out think" the hitters.

10. He's going to Vegas for rehab

on Wednesday, I think. That'll probably take a week or so. They've been saying he's likely to be ready by the end of the month.

I'm not too hopeful of him having his old stuff again, though. I'd be happy if he's merely an effective closer rather than some kinda machine.
