CHEER ME UP!
Edited on Sun May-21-06 10:39 PM by LuckyTheDog
I am in a sour state of mind. Help!

Things are geting worse at my place of employment, so I have gone on some interviews. But nothing has yet worked out.

I have pretty much decided to move out of the media and into media relations. Ideally, I'd like to work in the public sector, for a university, or for a large nonprofit. But I am finding it harder than I thought to make the transition. Maybe it's because I'm over 40 and expect a real salary. Maybe I just have not found the right fit. Who knows.

I do know that if I drift into Feeling Sorry for Myself Land, it'll only get harder. So, I need to stay positive. So, please... cheer me up!

1. Cheer up!
Actually, I'm having problems myself tonight. And, when I saw nobody responding to my thread, I started to take it personally and had a real insecurity attack.

Then, I stepped back and thought about it and...well, so what if nobody responds...I mean, I know I'm worth it, right? Well...here is a quote for both of us:

"People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily."

4. Relax
Chances are, that when the dirty nuclear bomb goes off, you won't be anywhere near it.

But then, I could be totally wrong.
