Nothing can be more annoying than a meddling friend
So, I met this girl through a friend's girlfriend. Had a great time with her, asked her if I could give her a call sometime. She said sure. So I called her later that week and she never called me back, so I assumed she had changed her mind, and that's fine.
So, the buddy that I met her through asked me if she called and I said no.
So, last night he sees her and says, "What's the matter my buddy Jer not good enough for ya?"
Then lays a guilt trip into her for not calling. She's all "Oh, I've just been really busy," and "He's such a nice guy...yada yada yada."
Then she says, "Oh, I will call him."

Now, I didn't really care that this girl hadn't called me back, sometimes that's how it is, she's still a cool girl so..whatever. I hadn't even thought of it until he brought it up.
But, now I look LAME... like I want a girl calling me cause my buddy guilted her.
I hope to christ she doesn't call, cause I really don't want to see her now.

Damned meddlers.

about it here acting like that "I love when a plan comes together"-guy from the A-team? Did you not meddle?

8. The foundation layed (he he) by this action is that you have now been...
bumped into the "I better let him down easy"-category. This means that you'll get some calls and very possibly a request to "just be friends". Without meddling you might have never heard from her again, which should be cool enough

10. Exactly
I never wanted to her from her again after she never called. Now, next time I see her I will not be able to act normal knowing she thinks I'm a big pansy.

14. You need to issue a thorough denunciation of your friend when you see her
and then you need to tell her your true feelings for her (i.e that you don't give a shit about her).

13. You can take care of this in 6.9 seconds.
If she calls, after she identifies herself, just say, "Who?" Then, ask her to remind you how you met. Then say, "Oh, yea. I remember you. How you doin', Honey?"

Stop it.

I just get pissed when someone does something on your behalf without prior consult.

19. Yes, there is something to be fixed.
You look LAME. Remember? You don't want to look LAME, do you? Of course you don't and that is the sentiment you expressed in your post.

My suggestion will fix that, if she ever calls.

don't like to have our vehicles fucked with, either. Or in the case of sugar-in-the-gas-tank levels of fuckage, killed. Woe to those who should ever intentionally fuck with any of my cars--that would bring out my truly vindictive side, which would make the car-abuser live to regret s/he was ever born.

how is this guy your friend? My friends respect my boundaries, they don't mess with my potential hook ups/relationships; they wouldn't even think about doing that. Because that is lame behavior. I mean, what gives? Does this guy desperately need the twisted sense of self-importance he may get through being able to convince himself that he was "involved" in you getting a date? If so--what's up with that? That woman probably did feel a tad weird being rudely asked about why she didn't call you, although I'm thinking it was weirdness in the key of "Why is his friend trying to pressure me into calling him? Pressure sucks," not in a "HEyHEY is so lame he needs some friend to put me up to calling?" kind of a vein. As you know, it's actually like your friend didn't help you out here at all, in a way that makes a suspicious person like me, who has had to ditch a lot of bad friends, wonder if he was trying to not help you, for his own inscrutable reasons, whatever they may be.

I don't think you need to pour sugar in his gas tank, (in fact, good gods, man, don't do that) but if I were you, I'd explain to the woman that a) by messing with her, my friend picked a really bad way to act like a dipshit and was on the skids with me for it, (which will give you the opportunity to re-open the lines of communication with her, and make the woman feel special and important) and b) pick an appropriate time to confront your friend about his pronounced ass-hattery. Possibly after seeking a level (read: proportionate, legal and not evil) revenge. Is he currently after any women you can derail his chances with (preferably in a less creepy manner than he adopted when talking to your person)? I'd also be thinking about how much I needed the aggravation of this "friendship." Life is too short to endure insincere friends. And seriously? The one time I did anything remotely similar to a friend...as a junior in high school...she tracked me down in the hallway an hour later and smacked me around. Because--not cool, even in 11th grade.

30. Is this a joke?
Even though his friend fucked up, at least he did so while trying to help. Seriously, life is WAY too short to get pissed at someone over trying to do something nice. I think we could all stand to benefit from having friends that are more likely to fuck up while helping you rather than trying to stab you in the back.
