Don't listen to Divici Code critics. If you liked the book, you'll enjoy
the movie. The directing was excellent. Whoever wrote the screenplay did an excellent job at packing in a lot of info in 2.5 hours (didn't feel that long). A lot of background info was expressed by quick but effective flashbacks.

The only thing that kept this from being a GREAT movie was the fact that you knew the story already. If this had come out cold, I would have walked out of the movie saying "What a fantastic film!"
:-)

1. I agree 100%. The film critics are full of crap...This is a super movie...
I highly recommend it to anyone that has read the book, and to those that haven't, go and see what all the hoopla is all about...You'll be glad you did!!

2. Sad that the "reviewers" all panned it for fear of the retribution from
the Fundamentalist Christofascists' issuing letters and boycotts upon their editorial boards, email addresses and newspapers.

4. I heard most critics were very afraid of Xtian wingnut reaction
Edited on Mon May-22-06 11:05 AM by Julius Civitatus
so they played it safe and decided to attack the movie viciously. I find it disturbing most critics spent a good amount of their reviews bitching about Tom Hank's hair. It's truly embarrassing, and they are dead wrong.

Most of the weasels and hacks were brutal about this film. I was afraid it was going to suck after reading a couple of very negative reviews. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised: this was a GREAT FILM.

Still, the good critics, those that are consistently trustworthy, gave the film solid reviews.
