I have been on a couple Harry Potter chatboards, and my god...the flame wars, on if "Dumbledore is dead, is not dead" are always in full swing it seems...:) The best way to start flame wars on those boards, is to say "Dumbledore is dead, get over it!"...man, works like a charm, every single time...:) I just got done reading the current HP books, in mid april...Order of the Phoenix is still my favorite one...HBP wasn't that bad, but Snape going evil, wasn't a surprise to me...to me, snape was..
1. Talks evil 2. Does dark things 3. Hates harry
I always figured, he would turn evil...thats just my two cents.

|
but I'm going to reply to you so I guess I am. I just finished HBP on Saturday for the second time myself :-) I'm still doing mental gymnastics that make Snape not a bad guy; like for instance, maybe the potion surrounding the locket actually brought Dumbledore to some sort of undead state, and Snape merely ended that half-living, half-dead state so that Dumbledore, like the phoenix which is his avatar, can rise again in some form.
Yeah, right.

did the same gymnastics when Dumbledore died...but my wife summoned it up, in one sentence for me..."Dumbledore is in the headmasters painting, in the head masters room."...that snapped me out of my, is he dead/not dead debating in my mind...he could still be alive, i doubt it, but i do believe, Snape, might again, turn good, or have some more severe input in the out come in book 7....

The same thing occurred to me, but he's sleeping in the portrait, so that's my backdoor to him maybe coming back. As for Snape, I hope he stays ambiguous - he's always going to be screwed up when relating to Harry because of his feelings toward James and Lily. Maybe he'll help Harry in spite of himself...

about the sleeping part, but he is in the picture...but, its a book, anything can happen, he could come back, and i think it would be good if he did come back, it would be a WTF just happened moment...:) Have you figured out the R.A.B. yet...i think its Regulas A. Black, Sirius's brother...

not for a while, the only other person i talk to about it with, is my wife, she got me to read the whole series. The notion of horcruxes is pretty interesting...a lot of HP heads, think that HP is in fact, the 7th horcrux, and i think that notion, is laughable...

We found a black lab in our woods yesterday, shot to death by one of our neighbors apparently.
Belonged to a family fairly new to the neighborhood; broke my heart to call them and tell them we had found their dog full of .22 ammo.
If there's a dog running in your yard, TALK TO THE HUMANS! The dog is just doing what dogs DO...
