9. I use cranberry accents in my living room with |
|
A creamy sofa with a dark dusty blue trim. I try to avoid Yellows and greens in that room. A lighter Dusty Blue carpet looks good with the couch and I have tied in the same dark dusty blue in the draperies. A Mauve pink plays well when I need to bring in another light color. Dusty Rose would probably work OK, too, but I want to avoid too much pink.
The sofa is the color of the white inside of an almond, (but if I said the color was almond it might bring to mind the (Yellow) "almond" colored kitchen appliances that were in fashion until the lighter, cleaner looking bisque color took over.)

11. My whole house is shades of cranberry/rose, navy/slate, and |
|
hunter/sage, and mulberry/lilac, with a fair amount of beige/neutrals to set off the color. I love color! Took the whole color cue from a multi-hued rug in the living room, and just went with all the shades in it. Our living room has blue (used to be ugly brown) paneling, 3 green walls and one rose wall; the kitchen has blue cabinets to match the paneling, and lighter green walls; the bathrooms are lilac and blue (mixed) and the bedroom is soon to be one wall each blue, green, rose and lilac.
I LOVE COLOR!

12. My first thought was Vodka. |
|
But.. then I see it's a decorating thread.
Bright green is great, yellows, oranges. Gold is nice, cream. It's all good, it depends on your overall theme.
