Anybody else think it's strange- all these animal stories? |
|
I'm not sure what order these happened in, but I read about them all this morning:
There was Barbaro, who broke his leg. Then I read about the bear in Germany they now have the authority to hunt down and kill (the first one in 130-some-odd years living in the wild), then I read about a polar/grizzly hybrid they killed in Canada.
Does anybody else think it's been a depressing animal story week, or am I the only one who is noticing all of these stories?

3. My friend at work from Germany told me about the wild bear |
|
in southern Germany. It apparently wandered into Bavaria, all the way from Austria, looking for a mate- the poor thing. Now the German government has said it is ok to hunt and kill it. It's so sad for the bear...and ironic that Germany can't handle just 1 wild bear after a 130 year absence of them!
Then, when I was surfing the web for bear information, I ran across the hybrid bear story..the picture of the dead hybrid was too much to take.

Have to wonder if this is the result of survival of species through evolution, and if we'll see more species creating hybrids.
Our globe it is a-changin'
