1. Oh my God that is hilarious!
I've never seen one of those in a supermarket. Then again, I never saw Trojan's vibrating ring in a regular store until I went to Canada. I understand the waxing but I never understood why one would make shapes in it.

3. It gives a whole new meaning to up_close_and_personal!

I had a heart_wax_job back in 1979. I can't imagine doing this at home.

5. I think it's best left for professionals just like pedicures.

It's like the time when my former roommate said, "A Korean woman will do anything a man won't do."

12. But ~ I don't know any Korean women.

I waited until my manicurist returned from maternity leave to go for a much needed pedicure. :scared:
I don't let just anyone touch my toes.

15. I think any nationality could be substituted.
It's just that the place we went to was all Korean.

18. I've given up intimate waxing.

Well ~ at least for the moment.

7. How are those baby owls doing?

I can't wait to take more bird pictures. I was totally amazed that my new canon was able to capture a picture of the Blackcapped Chickadee while its wings were in motion. It stayed in-focus. :wow: I can see the wings very clearly! The depth of field with this 20D makes the picture feel almost like you can reach into the shrub.

8. I saw the babies a couple of days ago,
and couldn't believe how much they'd grown. Manuela was holding them, and one of them spread his (or her) little wings. It was soooooo cute!

You're making me jealous! I reallyreallyreally need to buy a new digital camera.

11. I avoided entering the computer world for so long but I'm happy I gave up.
:) :loveya:

My biggest complaint is that I can see the pixels on quite a bit of the digital pictures I've seen and it seriously bothers me! I resized all of the shots I've downloaded so far because at 100% my computer's hard drive was FULL. However I am going back to download this picture again.
I think I lost a little bit in the reduction that is preventing me from doing an enlargement of the bird and one feeder alone.

When I met my blue & gold macaw at 11 weeks she wasn't fully feathered but she was at 13 weeks. The owl babies will be changing rapidly from now to their first flight. Baby birds are so sweet. I love it when Frodo wraps her wings around me. :) Parrot hugs are awesome!

9. LOL!

Tried waxing once----YEEEOW!!! :hurts: Never, ever doing that again. :yoiks: I'll stick to shaving!

I'll admit I had a heart_shave_job some time in the late 1980s. :P Gave that up quickly...

13. *giggle*

It must be a southern thing ~ heart shaped pubes ~
Waxing was easier for me to take than the irritation from razor stubble. talk about having an itch you just can't scratch!

 It must really be a Southern thing! :P

Barber itch is one of the worst things I've ever experienced. After going through that and thinking I'd have to kill myself to stop the itching, I think I'll leave things as is. ;) :yoiks:

17. I practically lived_on_boats when I was 31. I wore bathing suits all the time.

String bikinis were in back then and I was a tiny lil thing. I'd never dress like that now.

10. You'll never guess where I saw those advertised...
Did you guess CosmoGirl, the magazine devoted to teens/pre-teens? If so, you'd be right!

My friend and I were flipping through it a few weeks ago to see if the magazine was as bad as we thought it would be, (she's got two younger sisters and wanted to pick up a magazine for them while we were out), and it was. Now, I don't mind that these things exist or that people want to use them, but I do have issues with them being advertised to pre-teens. Those kids don't need one more thing to be hung up about.

16. I'm not at all surprised!

I did have to promise that I was over 18 to read this page of their ad: www.naughtynads.com/index.asp?Page=Sealed
The main advertisement was in the current issue of Cosmopolitan. I agree with you ~ children and teens do not need this information shoved in their face at an early age.

20. A disclaimer? No kidding!
I wonder how that works--disclaimer for the site, but it's ok in the mag. Weird.

Seriousness aside, they are pretty funny in that disturbing, mind-boggling kind of way. They should have "blank" sheets in them so users can create their own stencils. That could be fun. Painful, but fun.

19. I say
I'm proud to be a mammal, and I would expect anybody I sleep with to be down with that.

And yeah, there are few horrors to compare with stubble.
