Good Tuesday Morning, Crew!

:donut::hi:
Welcome to the Tuesday edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: I hope you had a good day yesterday! We made it through it, though so that's something. :rofl: And now that the dreaded Monday is over, the rest of the week should be easy!

I spent an hour with tech support at Roxio trying to get Easy MEdia Creator 8 installed and we tried many different things...with no results. x( In the end, the tech dude had no idea why it wouldn't work. He wants me to speak to one of the software developers who actually wrote EMC8 to see if they have any ideas, so I guess today, that's what I get to do when I get off work. This should be interesting.

And so another work day begins! Are you ready to get started? Time to rise and shine, my crew! :bounce:

I have two July classes. I don't understand the people who took the June classes -- giving themselves almost no time off at all. :silly:

I'm going to spend June applying (and hopefully interviewing) for a job. It just hit me a couple days ago that I could go anywhere. As in... *anywhere*. I've never been in a position where I wasn't stuck somewhere for some reason before. :o :D

16. Good morning Clint!
Did you try returning the software to the store? Perhaps it could just be defective. :shrug:

My Monday was mundane. After getting off work I went home and slept. Then I got up, showered/groomed/dressed. I cleaned the bathroom, did my laundry, went to the grocery store, had dinner then went to work again. Party down!

:hi::hug:
No, I haven't tried to return it to the store...in fact, we haven't even discussed that in my conversations with the tech people. I know I can't return it for a refund...but they would allow an exchange for the same thing. I guess that's worth a try!

I had about the same kind of Monday. I did laundry also and had a relaxing time in between! Like you said...PARTY DOWN! :woohoo::rofl:

But an exchange is possible. At least that will let you know if it's defective or some other problem.

Now tonight I get to have the fun of putting all of my furniture back in place (it's been in the center of my bedroom because I was repainting). Happy, happy, joy, joy.

63. Originally I was just going to put it back as it was
But last night I was thinking it might be nice to rearrange it. I was trying to think of some way to put my bed where I'd least be disturbed by noise (me being a day-sleeper and all). I finally decided to put it on the wall opposite from where it had originally been, since that's not against an outside wall. Now that I know where to put the bed I'll just figure out the rest from there. :shrug:

68. That's a good idea.
One of the places we lived in Missouri was right on one of the busiest streets in Springfield and our bedroom window opened to that street. We got used to the noise though. I'm sure you'll like it better if you move your bed away from there.

My 2 hour fasting test showed a level of 134 which isn't great but it isn't horrendous. We need to avoid processed foods like white sugar, flour and rice. Whatever you fix won't throw either of us into any serious problems as long as you don't wave a slice of pineapple upside-down cake under my nose. x(

I crashed out for a nap around 3pm. I woke up at 11:55pm. Hopefully, I will go to bed at a normal hour tonight and reset myself to a fairly normal schedule.

108. Wow...you've been up for a while then!
Yes, try to go to bed around 10 or 11 tonight, and then get up around 5. That'll reset your clock pretty damned quickly! You'll just have to withstand a rough day today is all.

Mornin' sweetie! Hadda good Monday where work was concerned. Got lots done, which is good!

Good pick for song of the day. Me, I cannot get away from listening to Neil Young's "Living With War" and Springsteen's "The Seeger Sessions". Hey, whatever speaks to us, right?

:hi::hug::loveya:
It's good to see you today too, sweetie! :loveya: I'm glad you had a good Monday. If Monday is good, it seems the rest of the week is better too! I hadn't heard that song in a long time...you know it was used in one of the James Bond movies (I can't remember which. Octopussy?) And I've always liked it!

"Easy MEdia Creator"? This is turning out to be a nightmare. Exhausting. I'm done with the hurricane supplies. Forget the generator - too expensive and takes up too much room to store. Have a good one.

130. Good Morning Clint!
It not only is exasperating when software doesn't work, but look at all the time you've wasted. I think I hate that part the most. Oh well . . . nothing we can do about it.

Although my work week is going well, I can't wait until Friday. Then I can sleep in or at the very least post in my jammies with a hot cuppa java by my side.

I love to post in my jammies too, and do every morning! :rofl: Coffee next to me every time! :bounce: So, we're a pair you and I! I hate computer problems, software or otherwise, and you're right...the amount of time it takes to fix IS the worst part. :loveya:

135. Yeah, I certainly
sympathize with you. When I first got this computer (a Dell and never again) I wasn't up and running for over a week. I finally had to take it to a local guys who was a trouble shooter for Dell. Most frustrating.

Anyway, on a more pleasant, today is going to be fantastic, weather wise that is. It's going to be sunny and warm, well warm for this part of Wisconsin in May, a whole whopping 71 degrees. But the sun part is making me happy already.

136. Good morning, Clintmax!
:donut: :hi: :hug:

Yeah, we got through Monday. Harleydad is still really sick but he managed to get to a doctor yesterday and get some meds. Harleykid is sick, too, and she sounds terrible on the phone. She saw a doctor yesterday, too. These two never get sick, so it's quite upsetting that they've both got it so bad.

The packing is almost done. I think I can finish it today. Just a little more to do in the kitchen.

I hope you get your Roxio figured out. I had a problem like that with iTunes installing and it was the strangest thing. I had an external sound card plugged in and it all worked fine when I took it out. It had me scratching my head for several weeks. :shrug:

How's Bandit doing?

138. Good Morning, Miss Airmens!
:hi::hug:
It's good to see you this morning, my dear! :loveya: I'm sorry to hear you've got TWO sick family members on your hands now! :hug: Is something going around that I don't know about? Must be...

Well...packing is almost done! I'm sure you're happy about THAT! Packing is damned hard, I know! I'm wondering if it isn't something like my soundcard or DVD-RW drive or something too. Hopefully, I'll find out tonight.

Bandit's still using the floor in front of the box. x( I just don't know what to do about him...I guess he needs to go back to the vet. :shrug:

141. I don't know.
And considering that they're 900 miles away from each other, I can't imagine how they caught the same thing. They don't know anyone else who's sick. :shrug:

I hope you'll tell us what the Roxio guys say. I'll be interested to know! :bounce:

Did you get the Cat Attract kitty litter for Bandit? Have you changed anything with his food lately?

146. Well, I hope both of them get to feeling better right away.
I'll certainly let you know what the Roxio guy says. But I just have a feeling it's going to be them refunding my money. No, we haven't changed his food at all. He loves what we feed him. And no, I have tried the Cat Attract litter yet. We need to though. Greekspeak just informed me that that the cat just used the floor AGAIN a few minutes ago. x( Now, I've got a mess to clean up again. :mad::grr:

150. Oh, I am sorry.
That stinks ... literally! x( Get thee to the Petsmart and buy some Cat Attract. There's a good chance it'll solve the problem without seeing the vet. I know how frustrating it is b/c Sabrina did it for several months before we figured it out.

Here's a :hug: for you.
