Conversation with someone I'd met 30 minutes prior:
Her: "So, what do you do for a living?"

Me: "I'll be working as a trade-magazine editor for the next couple of months, but I'll be leaving to go to law school."

Her: "Oh, at Marquette?"

Me: "Yeah, I'll be staying local."

Her: "I applied for the night program, but I didn't get in."

Me: "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that."

Her: "I suppose the day program must be MUCH EASIER to get in to, huh?"

I didn't realize until later just how bitchy that comment was.

1. Yikes
She sounds like a smooth talker :eyes: I wonder if maybe her interview went something like that?

Interviewer: "So why did you decide to apply at Marquette?"

Her: "Because I figured you would accept anybody"

2. Heh
"I want to attend law school because I couldn't cut it in med school and this sounds like the next-most-prestigious thing."

4. Sounds like she's trying to make herself feel better
at your expense. People can be so RUDE due to their deflated self esteem issues. That old ego just has to puff itself up and prove how good it is.

Congrats on getting in, you are amazing!

You shoulda punched her.

edit: After punching her, you shoulda told her your LSAT score. That would have shut her up.

7. Statistically -- it is indeed a little harder to get into Marquette's p/t
program (which could be days or nights -- and the ABA data aren't broken down). Still. It's not like she got rejected from Yale and I got into University of Soutwestern Nowhere College of Law or something.
