I left a little something out of the coffee
Like... coffee.

I put a filter in the filter thing and water in the water thing and turned on the coffee thing. A few minutes later I heard it do that "exhale" thing that means it's finished perkin', so I went to get a nice, steaming, full-bodied cup of... hot water.

Don't get old.

1. Well, at least it's not something you accidentially put in the coffee pot.
Like what that one fella did on "Criminals caught on Tape IV" on FOX...

Not a goddamn thing, to see if our custormer could tell the difference

Laughing with you friend, I've experienced my share of D'uh moments. But hey, with hot water you could make tea:shrug:

4. Have done that before, too
Mind not in gear, depending on caffeine to jolt me back to the land of the living...

It's almost agony when only hot water comes out, and have to wait the additional minutes for the java...

7. I do stuff like that and I'm young.
That means I blame ADD and weed instead of my age.

super extra super strength?

(ah, it happens to the best of us. I wouldn't know about that, however, seeing I'm not one of them)

She was so caffeine deprived that she put the grounds in the water well after filling it with water, and let it brew. You don't ever want to clean that mess from your coffee pot.

I've made a steaming pot of coffee-scented hot water myself.;)

12. I did that once on the job!
I'm an Admin assist for a shooting club. Most of members are "seasoned" shooters and they all demand fresh coffee!

One blurry-eyed morning, I set up the commercial coffee maker...without the coffee...and walked away to do other things. About 5 minutes later, I started getting dirty looks and didn't know why!

Needless to say, I was relieved of all coffee-making duties after that!

There's only one other option, and either way you're not gonna like it.

23. Hey, I thought that was my act!
Jeez what a mess - especially when you do remember to put coffee in the filter (and you are in another room on the computer).

18. And Mrs. Olsen was disappointed!
What!

I need my coffee NOW!

You know she shot her previous neighbor for making coffee late once, dont' ya?

20. HA!
I haven't thought of Mrs. Olsen in like....well....forever. I can just see that, too...bludgeoning her neighbor with a percolator for an offending pot of some off-brand and then, when the deed was done (and the resulting mess tidied up), sitting on her porch with her own steaming cup and relaxing in her rocking chair and that sweet, self-satisfied smile on her face.

19. The other side of that is...
..getting the coffee maker all set to go before you go to bed, and actually turning it on.
"Are you making coffee?" "Huh?...oh, shoot!" (aroma of fresh brew at midnight fills the house).
