Poll question: Late at night, do you ever drive around the parking lot of bigbox stores..
seeing if you can bump into the loose carts in such a manner that you can control their motion. It's like playing pool with your car.

1. Nope.
When I'm feeling rebellious, I just go to the bookstore....

11. A tale of desparation, when one's needs come in conflict with "the law"

I once lived about 300 yards from a grocery store. My room-mate and I needed food and we thought driving would be ridiculous, so we would walk over and do the shopping. The thing is, that we bought too much to carry back, so we just walked off with the cart. We even dragged it up to the second floor and rolled it into our apartment. After unloading it, we kept it in the apartment unitl we needed to repeat the whole thing. The most fun part was dropping it off of the fire-escape before taking it back.

12. I've known of at least one neighborhood store
where it was okay to take the carts home and leave them on the sidewalk. Others would bring them back to use and I think the store went around occasionally to pick them up.

In my case, I really wanted to take it to college with me. Push my Toys-R-Us cart up to my dorm with all my belongings in it. I had my heart set on it. Sadly, I ended up never living in the dorms. I was crushed.
