Has anyone had any experience with HP computers? I just popped over to their website and configured a pretty rocking system for just under $1500. We currently run a Dell(I know, I know) so I am looking at some other options for the near future.

- is that they're not so great. I don't know what manufactured, branded computer is really great anymore.
That being said:
I have a HP I bought a couple of years ago because it was cheaper than building one myself and I've not had ONE issue with it. It's done a great job, and it's only been this week that I've finally ordered my video card /ram upgrades because I've just started hitting that ceiling. Thought I'd hit it much sooner - but it's been a great lil workhorse.
I love mine.
on edit: oh yeah - and mine's a refurb.

It's 5 years old, still running great.
Their scanner was terrible, though...lasted about a week after the end of the warranty. x(
