Do you have a nickname that only your family knows and uses?
My parents sometimes call me Sasha (my real name being Sara). Anyone else have a family-only nickname?

1. Not really.
Only my family calls me Jaclyn (real name) though. I prefer Jackie. Some people call me Jack or Jax though.

Real name is James. Everyone calls me J.T. but my grandad always called me J-boat. Not sure why.

6. Yes.
They call me Gompers. My stupid uncle thinks that I'm lazy (not true) so he thought it would be funny to call me this since Samuel Gompers was one of the original founders of the American Federation of Labor.

My real name is Tre (or that's the one I've used most often) and my family calls me TreTre. Kinda makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Khash.

9. Yeah, that's how my nickname makes me feel
My mom tends to use it when I'm really stressed or depressed. It makes me feel better. :)

21. Stalking's going fine.
The lightning bugs are here, and I guess they showed him the way to a mouse yesterday. When he's running through our bedroom, loudly meowing, hurrying downstairs (at around 3 a. m.) and you'll hear loud noises - you know he brought you a gift!

20. Yeah, most of my siblings and I have weird nicknames that, I believe, came
from the way younger siblings pronounced our names when they were learning to speak. Although that doesn't explain my nickname because I'm the youngest. Anyway, mine is Beenge or Beeble Deenge. Don't ask me why, I have no idea. My nephew called me Grapes or Drapes when he was little and my sister still calls me that.

Others in my family include Loufwee (or Peas or Borgalowa), Gayofend, Owa, Lorliebook, and Funster.

23. Yep...Bunny
my real name is Barbara but my family only calls me Bunny. I was very embarrassed by it when I was a kid. My brother's friends would call me Bugs or Rabbit. Now that I'm grown it doesn't bother me so much anymore.

24. The Uncle Jennifer.
Edited on Fri May-26-06 02:24 AM by UncleSepp
When I was in high school, my nephew was a toddler, and there were a lot of little boys his age on our block. One of the little boys was in the "when do you use a definite article" stage, and I got named The Aunt Jennifer. It stuck. They're in their early twenties now, and up until very recently, I was still The Aunt Jennifer. How great is that? Well, last week, it got even better. One of the kids was talking to my mom, and was saying that he'd heard I was going to take my nephew to Ireland for his 21st birthday. He was fumbling for the right word, and came out with "The... Uncle Jennifer?"

:-D I love those kids!!
