Does anyone else get "Medicinal Marijuana"?
Some states have it legal with reservations. Here in CA its relatively easy to get an evaluation and prescriptions.
I got my "card" last week. It cost me $125.00 for the eval and the whole process took about 30 minutes. I have severe back and leg pain problems as well as insomnia, depression and anxiety. The doctor took thia under consideration and issued me a card. Now I just go to one of the many "outlets" here in San Diego and fill my script. There is a 1 ounce per week limit. Now this is the good stuff and all that I will need is 1/8 oz, that will last me two weeks.
I dint use cannabis during the daytime hours. Only after all my chores (cooking, cleaning, kids homework...),is done. Then I smoke a small bowl to help with the issues I have mentioned. It really helps me.
When I was at the eval clinic I was talking to an older gentleman who suffers from depression and chronic pain. This man was 64 years old and a former SDPD detective. There was a diversity of people I saw at the clinic. Many were over 60 and a couple were teenagers who were there with their parents.

Does anyone else here on DU have a "card"?
How do you all feel about medicinal marijuana?

1. I totally qualify here in Denver
But I just can't afford the 200.00 a year for the permit. It's just easier to not have the permit and to dare the DA to prosecute you when you do get caught.

3. Its $125.00 a year here.
The product you get at the outlets is outlet grown and top qulaity for $60.00 an 1/8.(Indica)
I was tired of trolling the wall in Ocean Beach for substandard cannabis from shady dealers. Now I can "legally" go to one of the many outlets, show my card, and fill my script for some clean, quality cannabis.

2. I personally don't have a problem with medicinal marijuana
in fact I think it should just be legal, and whether or not it actually helps with pain control or just helps a person "mellow out" to forget about their medical problems for a while...I'm cool with it
