Meth makers hijacking storage units
turning up in metro area storage units right under the noses of the rightful renters, according to the North Metro Drug Task Force.

Task force detectives have investigated four clandestine meth labs located in storage units or lockers in Westminster and unincorporated Adams County. Officials think the same person or group is responsible.

Officials say in most cases, the suspects break into the storage unit and replace the lock with one of their own. They then used the unit to make meth or store meth making material.
