Actually, I used to eat the marshmallow and leave the cone, though I discovered as I got older that the cone was pretty good as well. :D

they always bring me back to childhood, when Grandma used to buy them for me. Those, and orange popsicles. :)

I love those treats from childhood. I'm only in my 30's but hell, things from childhood seem so "quaint"
I'm getting nostalgic. :)

I get pretty nostalgic, too.
I mean, what kids now put on their bathing suit and take a shower in the rain?

10. it's like when we were kids.... |
|
we had fun.
Now kids can't really get together for a game of hide and seek, or just simple games like that. :( They have all these expensive toys that their parents seem to have no problems buying them. :(
remember going to birthday party and getting LOOT bags? Man, those always impressed me!

Fun with so very little.
Remember jumpsies? You had to make the damn thing (and everyone pitched in), then you could play all day. Same with skipping. Hula hoops! Most of the kids on our block used to hold massive hide and go seek games (some of the neighbours weren't too happy we were hiding in their yard).
Or...if you were playing street hockey, you didn't need protection, nets, etc. Tennis ball and a couple of hockey sticks.
Yes, I remember the Loot bags! I used to get so excited when I got one. My best friend's mom used to bake change into her cakes. (think now she could have done it toonies!)
Those simple things were sooo fun. :bounce:
Can I interest you in a membership into the old fogies club? :pals:
