I have.

If you're able to take a long road trip, by all means do it. It'll be a

44. I have two intelligent suggestions:

Intelligent suggestion one is that you declare a national DU meetup, say in Chicago, then drive to it. I mean, Topeka (say) is probably more centrally located, but I suspect you'd get ten times the turnout with Chicago.

Intelligent (and somewhat less crazy) suggestion two is that you head to Canada. Global warming going the way it is, driving in the summertime in the Lower 48 gets less fun every year. Back in 2000, I took it into my head to take a Flat Earth Tour of the Midwest. When it was 100 degrees in International Falls (usually the coldest place in the 48) I said heck with it.

Of course it would be wonderful if you visited here, but the difficulties of driving anywhere in the country in the summer goes double for the South. Sooo can't say I'd recommend that particular move. (But if you did want to come as far as Atlanta, I'd be up for a roadtrip of my own. Lotsa good DUers there.)
