I just had a burning trash can in my house

We have a little trash can kept by the coffee table, mainly used as a receptacle for emptying ashtrays and depositing tissues, since we all have allergies and sinus issues. Just as I logged on to DU, I glanced into the living room and saw quite the plume of smoke. The trash can was taken outside and doused with water, and the fan on the stove is on, sucking the smoke out of the house before I have an asthma attack.

I'd open the windows, but it's so damn sticky outside that we would all drown in our own sweat.

My father burned a pot, feel asleep making beans. The smoke and smell was terrible.
