I just finished a book of Neil Gaiman's short stories (titled Smoke and Mirrors, something like that--if I'm way way off I'll correct it later). There were a couple stories somewhat humorous set in Innsmouth and involving Lovecraftian entities and "doin's"

The last two stories were amazing.
