Does anyone have any suggestions for repairing a scratch on a laptop LCD screen? I see there are some products out there that claim they can do that. I also found a procedure that uses toothpaste and Q-tips. I am a reluctant to try an abrasive like toothpaste in case it makes it worse.

Yeah, I heard that story too and tried it. Uh-uh.
I've heard ordinary Turtle Wax can do the job, but after my toothpaste incident, I've been reluctant to try it.
If you have found a product dedicated to this particular task, I would go ahead and use that.

2. Strange enough....Use Silver Polish >> |
|
Not the liquid type...The paste type. I think it's called "Wright's silver polish"
I use it to polish scratched CD's and Laptop Screens in the shop. (IT)
OR...if you can go to a Jewelery store..Get some Jeweler's Rouge. (It's used to shine Telescope Mirrors..also)

Do you use a soft cloth with that or a Q-tip?
