Why is Charlton Heston such a nasty, mean guy?
Just saw a promo of Bowling for Columbine or whatever on t.v.

"out of my cold, dead hands?" :eyes:

Like, get a GRIP, buddy.

You got a fairly nice career, had a good, obedient little wifey dear who put up with you for years, probably a nice house in a nice neighbourhood......WHY be such a mean, ungrateful, selfish sonofabeaotch?

1. Doesn't he have alzheimer's now?
I don't know how far along he was when he made that "cold dead hands" quote, but I think it had a grip on him for some time before he made the announcement (just like Reagan).

14. He does. It's a shame that he went over to the dark side.
He marched with MLK Jr and stood behind him during the I Have a Dream speech.

15. Yep.
I wouldn't wish it on anyone. One of my grandfathers had it.

Saddest thing I've ever seen.

11. Gotta be that awful rug.

If you had to walk around with that on top of your head, knowing that everyone was snickering and giggling behind your back, you'd be surly too.

16. Many rich old dudes are selfish and mean as snakes. I have one in
my family - not as rich as Heston but very comfortable, million+ dollar home, well educated and 'is consumed with hatred for liberals, minorities and environmentalists. He hasn't spoken to me in almost 20 years.
