I suppose I shouldn't mouthed that to the security camera when two old women friends were at different registers; both of which next in queue and one yelled to the other she was ready.
x(
I proceeded to leave and appear to be returning the items I was about to purchase. The first one was still waiting and this sort of kindergarten crap was one I wasn't going to tolerate. Not from two ~60 year olds who ought to know what civilized behavior is supposed to be. (Never mind I was in the lane whose cashier (another boomer who one would think would have a grain of civilization in her genes too, apparently not) had merrily chatted with a couple of friends for several minutes (young couple, ~25, the male being more interested so I'm not out to peg any particular gender here). But who cares if her sister's daughter is getting married... she'll be divorced in under 5 and will get to pull a new cord after that. Save it for when there's not 11 people accumulated wanting to purchase and vamoose (with two forms of ID, no less...)
As I went downstairs, the cashier there had no queue so I paid for everything. :D
God works in mysterious ways.
And I love the new shirts to go with the flat-front slacks. (I shouldn't have bought the shirts, probably, but we only live once.) Pictures will follow, and you'll then understand why I prefer to wear pleated fronts...

keep in mind that very few boomers have hit 60 yet. The boom started May 1946.
Most of us are quite young! Really!
