Computer help please
I got my laptop back from the shop yesterday and it worked for a little while but now when I turn it on, it soon after turns off. Thanks in advance, this is really irriating.

5. Right click in your desktop
Click on properties, go to screensaver tab. Bottom half of that tab will have a button that says 'power'. Click it and check to see what time frame is on it for automatically turning off hard drives, monitors, everything (supposedly to save energy). This is probably where your problem is. If that isn't the problem, then you need to go back to whoever 'fixed' it for you and make them fix the fix.

6. See thing is I can't even so much as get to the desktop
I can turn my power on than it suddenly turns off before it boots. Looks like I have to go back to Best Buy to get this thing repaired. Thanks anyhow, I am sick of this bad luck I have with technology.

I thought it was staying on a few minutes and then going off.

Yes, best thing to do is have the fix fixed. Tip, next time, don't leave with it until you test it...there, where you can bitch loudly and show them that it isn't anything you've done wrong. (Which is what they'll try to tell you but don't believe it)
