John Saxon...

(yep, I just watched Enter The Dragon for the first time in ages, this time the uncut version that Bruce saw before he died but that was edited soon after)

...and I more than once got Chris Cooper and Harvey Keitel mixed up before I became more familiar with Mr Cooper:

And I coulda sworn it was Vince Van Patten in The Karate Kid and Back To School...

...but it was William Zabka.

You know...everyone looked the same in the '70s...

Any more?

1. ACK! Too much helmet hair!
Actually, I think I had that Tiger Beat---I was so into it until about 1976... :P What I wonder now is if the Osmond Brides really knew what kind of marriages they were in for. I mean, ya know, Big Love and all...

OK, I'll give you Clooney and Saxon... :D They do look a lot alike! Just don't torture me with Vince Van Patten---he's too Aryan for my tastes!

2. Then you won't like this one:

:scared:

And, no, we mustn't let Leif be single! :eyes: But with hair like that, he'd be attracting the wrong type of people...

More nightmare covers here, Donny is sadly inescapable:

4. DAMN!!!! I could have flown to Hollywood and belonged to Tony!
And to think I've wasted all these years on Mr. NewWaveChick1981! And poor Leif---his singleness has led to his current life of debauchery and prison time....

I'm soooo glad Vincent had a new love he was with EVERY day! Doesn't every big-haired 70s teen idol deserve that??? :loveya:

I'm gonna have to send my sister that website---she will just lose her mind with the hair nostalgia! We used to argue about who was cooler---David Cassidy or Donny Osmond. David always won because I was the older sister, and she would just pout. :P

7. Personally, I'm more interested in how, exactly,
Linda Blair gets around...

I wouldn't have complained if she got around me...

9. I don't think Linda Blair got around so much as
that her HEAD spun around...sounds like W-style spin to me... :P You know how the legitimate media exaggerates...

12. I'd rather her pea soup, though, than
what Georgie is shoveling...

6. Donny abides!
Always liked Donny. :D

I missed out totally on Tony deFranco -- had never heard of him -- until I met my wife and got caught up to speed on her Tiger Beat crushes (David Essex and David Cassidy were the two others from her earlier years...she got to meet all three 'cos her family's in The Biz).

I love those covers...those were the days, my friend, we thought they'd never end...

8. Tony DeFranco was a totally manufactured idol, just like Leif.
We'd sing and dance, forever and a day... :P But we'd have to dance in our plaid bell bottoms...

13. I'd skip the bellbottoms...you know, as tribute to the
Golden Age of Streakers. :D

Sounds like I didn't miss much by having no clue who the DeFranco boys were, other than a bad cover of "Save The Last Dance For Me."

Heartbeat...it's a love beat!!!

3. Tiger Beat!
They don't make 'em like that any more. :D

Here's an updated Vince picture, that'll perhaps appeal more to the Nordicophobe in you.. :P

He seems to be some kind of poker god now.

Funny how poker suddenly became so trendy. Every second TV show seems to be a poker game. I'm sure sick of it (and, shoot, I live in the world's spiritual center for the stupid game) and totally fail to understand how they cna show it on a sports cable channel...oh, yeah, I've long admired those poker athletes and the gruelling physicality of their extreme sport.

5. Poker god AND Sopranos director!
Good---he looks somewhat less Aryan in that pic. :P Sadly, over time, he's lost the Tiger Beat hair!

lost the Tiger Beat hair... :D

Hello, Peter Frampton!

Actually, he kinda looks like Gandhi with a guitar in this photo...
