12. Just what it sounds like
corn that is not yellow, but white. Kind of beige. And very, very sweet. The best type is called "Silver Queen."

Yellow corn can be tough and not sweet enough. Of course, most yellow corn is raised to feed lifestock and some is amost inedible by humans.

15. Found a new potato salad recipe
Texas Ranch Potato Salad

5lbs of new red potatoes
1 package of Hidden Valley Ranch dressing
2 cups mayo
3/4 cup of chopped green onions
1 lb bacon

Boil whole potatoes for about 10 - 15 minutes (it's a fine line between being done enough and overdone)

Drain potatoes and cool in cold water. Slice them into quarters with skin on. Refrigerate for 2 hours.

Mix ranch dressing, mayo and green onions. Refrigerate for 2 hours to mix the flavors. After the potatoes and the dressing mix and been refrigerated, toss.

Crumble fried bacon over the potato salad.

I made this yesterday for an open house I had. It was the easiest potato salad recipe I've ever made and one of the tastiest.

24. Fresh, ripe strawberries!
It's not quite summer yet, but it sure feels like it. :( The regional farmers' market nearby has had a bumper crop of unbelievable strawberries this year! The farmer we buy them from has had dark red, big, juicy, sweet strawberries---and he's an organic farmer! He has had tons of them, and we've taken a large supply off his hands over the past month or so. :D

YUMMMM!!!! :bounce:

26. Corn on the cob.
Can't get enough of it. The best is when you can get it fresh from a local farmer's market.
