I've got a hip problem

A while back I slammed into a computer desk. It hurt like hell, now I have this constant ache on my left hip right about where the belt-line is. It feels like a bruise, but there is no bruise there. Plus this collision was months ago.
Has anyone ever smack themself that good and had such a long lasting pain before?
