Do you have eczema or psoriasis? Maybe not....
For the past 16 summers, I have had seasonal eczema. Nothing has worked. I have spent summers with long sleeve shirts and long pants. Tried every remedy, including Elidel and other skin creams, dousing myself with ointments every summer to no avail.

Last summer, the doctor put me on prednisone because of a bad outbreak and sent me to an allergist. Well low and behold, I have allergies, not eczema. Come to find out, I am allergic to grass, latex, dust and cats, but the grass pollen really sets me off. As I sit here typing now, I am in shorts and a short sleeve shirt, with just a very faint discoloration of my outbreak zones on on my legs and hands. It will soon be almost undetectable after a bit of a tan.

My b-in-law is also on heavy duty psoriasis meds, but can't get rid of the rash on his wrists. He also went to an allergist and found out that he is also allergic to the wristlets (latex) on his shirts.

Just thought I would pass on this to fellow Duers. Also I never had an allergy in my life, no hay fever, nothing, until I got pregnant with my second kid, when my whole body chemistry apparently changed.

3. Mine isn't seasonal
Though I do have seasonal allergies to tree pollens.

I take topical skin creams, based on outbreaks, never anything greater than that.

4. i had an outbreak of something that stumped the dermatologists-
and it's cause by allergies too.
it looked sort of like rosecea... and felt tingly.
i read on a website to use my nasal spray, flonase, ON it (and up my nose) and it helps alot.
the dermatologist was no help at all.
