Glasses SUCK!

And as I wear contacts half of the time I know how easy they are, nothing masochistic about it (though I suppose you could make it so if you wanted to).

That is an irritating git sort of comment :D

I actually hate that cliche so much that often, when I find what I was looking for, I'll keep looking, just to thwart the cliche (and to see whether anything else interesting will reveal itself).

But as to the OP: yes, glasses do suck, and I'm extremely bummed that I've grown to need them to read now. I hate losing them and having to locate them, and I really hate the little bruises/welts they raise on my nose! But I'm so paranoid about my eyes that contact lenses aren't an option.

And they also break apart (the frames) at the worse times. I had a pair of $60 dollar frames . ( I went through 2 pairs now that I remember) and the screw on the part that goes over the ear always came out whenever I was in class. Argh ! I ditched the glasses as soon as I got to college and I have been frame free ever since.
