Good Tuesday Morning, Crew! (R_A edition)
Edited on Tue May-30-06 06:46 AM by Random_Australian
That's right, R_A is desperate enough to start his own thread without Clintmax bieng present!

We gotta say good morning or it isn't morning!

I'm well, had a math test that I knew nothing about until that day yesterday,x( so I had to memorise the EVT, MVT, IVT, CMVT, Rolle's Theorum and some other stuff in 5 only five minutes, and I got it done! :woohoo: How is everyone today?

Just one more day until hump day, crew, how is everyone coping?

And also: Please send vibes at Clintmax to ensure nothing untoward has happened!

Time to say good morning, Crew!

Edit: Pic

And Song of the day is "Canticle" By Simon And Garfunkel

AND CLINTMAX IS OK, Just had a rough day!

:wow::( , as this is the earliest frost EVER by almost an entire month!

No sun? That sounds good to an Aussie, so if you ever want to get so sick of the sun that you will love your weather, travel out here!

(And there is that pesky hole in the ozone layer.... scientists! When will they learn not to mess with the four basic food groups????)

Like I said, if you want sun sometime, holiday here! ;) Now that I have finished plugging my country, I say no worries about England - it sounds like a pretty good place!

Might even go there sometime for more education, seeing as I won't be going to America :( sad to see, but meh, we live as we live.

How goes your country? Awfully quiet in the news of late......

34. Enough news within Germany
there is a big debate going on right now about the rising of Neo-Nazis (esp. in eastern Germany) and the image of Germany during the World Cup. And a big debate about foreigners in Germany and their kids. Immigration problems etc.
Next year our sales tax will go up to 19% (right now it is 16%). That is gonna hurt. The politicians are looking for more and more ways to get more money on the expense of the people. Soon we will have no money left to spend beside insurance and retirement. And even then the retirement money will be not enough to live from.

impersonators, of a range of political and other figures, and let me tell you, when you have seen Dr Who asking the cashier if they have change for Gallifrean Zonk, or Parkinson interviewing people at random in a bus stop, or Tony Blair inspecting some random guys trolley for WMD, then you need to learn to breathe again, it is sooooo damn funny!

51. The holiday wasn't for any reason.
It's just called the Spring Bank Holiday - it used to be Whitmonday (though this year that falls in a week's time), but it was moved to the last Monday in May and thus signifies nothing at all.

I don't know the song of the day - so it will do perfectly. :D

Well, I think they should call the holiday "National day of just like not working and sleeping and stuff, because that is like pretty good"

Or "National day of just like not working and sleeping and stuff, because that is pretty good" for short. :D

A national day of sleeping! :woohoo:

63. That's because I'm totally divorced from most of popular culture.
I'm listening to Vaughan-Williams at the moment - that's about as populist as I get.

I'd prefer we had holidays which actually mean something - I do remember getting completely drunk on Australia Day once (I was in Scotland at the time), having something to celebrate, however tenuously connected with onesself, makes for a reason to party.

39. Ugh! I know the feeling - back home, storms would form, come crashing
across the landscape (we were on a hill, so we could see a long way), stop raining just before us, pass over, then keep raining. We could also pick out where we were from the one spot of the weather map that did not have any rainfall. x(

Is this your rainy season or what? why are there storms about?

it has officially started. They say the spring months are the dry part of the year, (I'm a New Englander so I'm no expert) but we're getting close to the "rainy season." Florida is one of those places that gets lots of thunder and lightening when it gets hot - and we hit 97 yesterday. Looks like we're in for a very uncomfortable summer.

47. They're stucco
the roofs are nicely pitched. I haven't seen the inside of one. They put in some nice landscaping just before going condo. However, they aren't paying the proper attention to the newly planted evergreens and they are dying. I'm afraid that hand watering would be required because of the sprinkler watering restrictions.

68. The landscaping
is taken care of by our HOA fees. It's a small subdivision with three units/bldg. I have put in a couple of things and will probably do more if there are any "deaths." Mostly my "gardening" consists of lots of plants on my screened porch. Time for my housework. Yuck (did the EFX between posts).

55. Yep, that is something at least, and I bet you were able to catch up on
some sleep during the weekend. Lovely, are long weekends! Anyway, why only decent coffee when working?

57. The corporate latte machine.
Yes, I could always go to the coffee shop over the weekend, but it's much more fun when the latte is free and you have people to hang with. :P

61. THAT, I must admit, sounds pretty awesome!
Mmmmm, free er, whatever it was. I heard 'free' and that was enough for me!

Anyway, so this is a tuesday of fun & frivolity? Not quite? Oh well then; only one day until hump day, then a short time after that until the next weekend!

YAY!

72. Good week-end here thanks.
Yesterday I met up with some friends - unfortunately this involved getting up at 6 a.m. :scared: but was a good time nonetheless. As always, the week-end wasn't quite long enough...

Did you do anything special yesterday?

We did some yard work then some house work. He made dinner and we just relaxed. It was a good day! :hi:
