You put that on a marquee and people will show up.
Unless we were opening for "Better Than Ezra" in that case I would name my band: "Ezra"

But first I have to bump off Xema so I wouldn't owe her royalties on that since she made it up.*
*Not that it matters, I can't even play my ipod and I'm not much of a singer either.

26. Two actual rejected names from "The Great Band Name Project*" |
|
Edited on Tue May-30-06 03:28 PM by mikeytherat
*when we had to change our name so we could copyright and reincorporate our band. We had a list of about 1500 suggestions the 10 of us contributed - here are two rejects from the list:
Drop-kick Chihuahua Sapphic Frenzy
I hope these get utilized by a band someday; it would be a shame for them to go to waste.

10. I remember a British metal band named "Fist" from the 70-80's. |
|
I don't think that they were very popular, but I got a demo LP from my uncle who worked at a radio station that I really liked. One of the cuts was called "Fleet Street", and was about Sweeney Todd. I don't remember too much about the song except for the lyrics: "Eating people-pies / Evil in his eyes...."
Anyhow, it was pretty cool.

When I was just out of college I was writing for a newspaper and had to keep writing stories about a dairy farm where the farmer claimed the cows were being shocked by stray electrical currents.
I decided that Shocking Cows would be a cool punk girl band name. But I have no musical talent so the name has not been used.

I figure, I never need to release an album. I just trademark the name and start lawsuits against any strip club that uses that in an advertisement. My family will be quite rich after the mob takes me out.
Actually, since I have no original musical talent, I'd like to be in a Beastie Boys tribute band called Rhymin' and Stealin' or something.
