4. It's been YEARS since I had one.
I used to smoke them in h.s. and college on occasion. They were tasty!

2. I used to smoke clove cigarettes in college

But they didn't have filters then.

For real clove taste, you've got to tear the filter off.

Ha!

6. Well, I used to tear the filters off light cigarettes.
But that's probably not quite the same. Even though I smoked heavily for years, I never cared for the taste of a cigarette, but cloves were sweet!

3. but, but
Don't you remember those scare stories from 20 years ago, about the folks who had instant fatal allergic reactions to clove cigarettes?

Oh the hell with it, come on by. Smoking is allowed indoors at my house.

5. I think clove cigarettes are illegal in Maryland now.
 I don't get it. Attractive to kids 'cause of the flavor -- could that be it?

Bizarre. I never smoked cloves until I was thoroughly hooked on the regular variety.

17. Same here.
I'm not entirely sure, but I think a guy in one of my classes who works in a tobacco shop mentioned that they're illegal now.

9. My dear Lara.....and all you smokers out there!
Hot gases of ANY kind are damaging to your delicate lungs!

Even clove gases...OK? Sheesh......

I'm so freaking glad, my dear Lara, that you have quit....

If the mom smokes, then it's much more likely that the kids will too...

Do you want your precious children to smoke? OK.......

:hi:

Sorry about the rant......*sigh*

19. I hope they never start, and never have to quit.
It's a miserable addiction. I don't think I'll ever stop missing cigarettes. They cost far too much, in too many regards, to keep smoking, though. I quit before I noted any real health effects (except when I ran) but I'm sure if I'd smoked a few more years, I'd have experienced more significant negative results.

11. During my wrecka stow days...
...those used to trigger the worst migraines! And that's when I smoked about 20 cigarettes a day as well...

Now that I try not to smoke at all, they don't bother me as much.

12. I used to love smoking Djarum Splash
I smoked them a lot in college and even preferred them to regular cigarettes. I never was able to find a definitive answer regarding whether they are more or less harmful than regular cigs.

26. I really, reeeeally missed smoking this weekend.
With the change in season, I immediately began to reflect on all the enjoyable summer activities that smoking was a part of. Of course, it is still summer, and those activities are still enjoyable without smoking.

My regrets about not smoking this weekend would only have been surpassed by my regrets if I had.

:headbang: SOLIDARITY!!! :loveya:
