4. Ticks, fleas, skeeters, chiggers, mites and lice. Nasty. |

I got bitten by a Lyme diseased tick, once. The resulting technicolor rash was spectacular but I gladly took my antibiotics to get rid of it. Some folks down the road, when we lived in Santa Fe, got the Bubonic Plague from fleas! I don't worry a lot but I always check for ticks!

bring them in! They hang out in the cats' fur until they can drop somewhere else. We check the bed for them every night, but still are frequently awakened but one crawling on one of us. I've had two bite so far; Mrs. V. has had one.
I found one sitting in wait mode halfway up the electric blanket cord when I put that device away. AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!
I am paranoid of the tiny ones, babies, I guess. They're red and the first time I saw one I thought it was a spider.
