physically, I've dated women all over the board - just about every race; women that were taller than me or way shorter than me; slim women & heavy women; blondes, brunettes, redheads; etc, etc.

However, the women I've dated more than 1 or 2 times all tended to be pretty smart, progressive politically and were at least fairly compassionate.

Because humans in general tend to only be capable of more than superficial attraction to people of similar (social/political/religious) values. If you were a right-winger you'd probably be asking the same thing with reference to Republican women.
