Advice please...what to get my sister for her birthday??
She asked for a Rascal Flatts CD...but I hate country so I have no idea which one would be best.

She likes Josh Turner, so I may get her one of his CDs.

She also asked for Zoo or Mall Tycoon for her computer...which is better?

She likes to read the series by George R.R. Martin. Does anybody know any authors who write good books in his genre?

I'm thinking of getting her a Bon Jovi CD because she had me lend her my copies of "Crush" and "Have A Nice Day" (the only ones I have), but I don't know what other ones would be good. I know Bon Jovi had a different style when he started than he does now and I don't think that she'd like pure rock stuff. Someone suggested "Keep the Faith" as a good one. Was that good advice?

Sorry to bug you all, but I just can't decide!!

1. Get her the newest Rascal Flatts CD -- look at the Billboard web site

on the Country Top 40 -- any hit by Rascal Flatts will probably be from their newest.

Edit: Billboard's number one country album is "Me and My Gang" by Rascal Flatts -- released last month. Get that one!

Good luck!

9. Unfortunately, she hates the Dixie Chicks with a passion...
She thought that two of their early songs ("Wide Open Spaces" I think and the one about "poor Earl") were awful and has avoided them since.

Luckily, the other country singers that she really likes are more left-leaning!

3. Have a Nice Day
has a song written for Habitat for Humanity - "Who Says You Can't Go Home". The song is performed by Bon Jovi and Jennifer Nettles of a new country band called Sugarland.

No wait, that's what I want, sorry.

If she likes Martin, she'll probably like Glenn Cook's Black Company series.

Just a thought. :)

6. Get her something nice; something has a pearl or pearls on it
And no, I'm not talking a "Pearl Jam" CD or any CD.

8. Give her something to either plant (perennial flower) or task upon,....
,...like one of those gorgeous colored glass pieces or one of those kits for building a unique oil lamp.

Just a suggestion.

11. She already does cross-stitching...so I think the task thing is covered...
especially as the Jo-Ann Fabrics store near me was going out of business and she bought eight cross-stitching things!!!

Maybe I'll look into getting her a puzzle or one of the things you mentioned though!

Thanks
