6. It's in the White Mountains

We'll spend 2 nights there before we visit friends in Massachussetts. I'm not sure what we'll visit yet. Mr GoG's gung-ho to drive up Mt Washington; but I think I'd rather take a skyride to a view, and not worry about driving off the mountain!

I have a feeling Son of GoG would prefer that as well.Maybe check out the Flume Gorge...We shall see. :D

You will also want to check out Lost River while you're in the vicinity as they're close. If you get time, make sure you drive--very slowly!--down the Kancamagus Highway which is very, very scenic. It's not dangerous or anything, but if you want to take pictures, speed is a killer! There are some scenic pullouts, though, so you won't be in the way all the time. :)

You might also want to pay homage to the dearly departed and go to where the Old Man in the Mountain used to be. I believe they've been working on putting his visage back on the mountain, but I haven't heard in awhile where they are in that.

We saw where it was a couple of years ago, but we didn't even spend a full day in the area. It'll be nice to have a little more time!
