removing scratches from an iPod screen--thoughts? |
|
I foolishly put my car-keys in the same pocket with my iPod. The car-keys are fine, but the iPod has a couple of light scratches on the screen.
I took some toothpaste and water to the screen, and that helped a bit, but not enough.
I was thinking a jeweller mught be able to buff out the scratches with a very fine polishing compound. Maybe that would make it worse, I dunno.
Any ideas?

7. My thoughts: Eh, fuck it. It's only an iPod screen. |
|
That's probably not really helpful to you, however.

8. How about some Novus Plastic Polish? |
|
Three different strengths, depending on the scratches. I use the #2 compound a lot, but you might want to try #1 on the screen first. http://www.noscratch.com/novus/

9. Drive over it several times - turn the scratches into big dents & cracks |

It won't help your ipod, but it'll help you to quit worrying about those pesky little scratches.

11. You know, that's a really good idea! And I'm not being sarcastic. |

In fact, I want to reward you...
Next time you have a headache, give me a call and I'll come over and hit you repeatedly in the back of the head with a shovel. Say goodbye to headache discomfort!

I don't know of anything. But as soon as you get it fixed, BUY A CASE. They cost like 15 bucks, and you'll thank yourself for protecting an expensive piece of electronic equipment
