What's your favorite BattleMech?
One Word: Fafnir.

100 tones of pure 100% Prime-Grade Whoopass.

Sure it's slow, but it's got twin Heavy Gauss Rifles.

2. My brother once customized an Atlas to look like Elvis
A little blob of epoxy on the head that got shaped into a pompadour, a white jumpsuit, and a makeshift microphone in one hand, and it was the coolest Battlemech figurine ever.

Of course, someone just had to steal it at a convention...

3. Oh that's a shame
Atlas has the body for an older (fat) Elvis. I can see it now. Minus the 20 medium lasers of course. :)

4. Fafnir pwns the Atlas hardcore...
Heavy Gauss Rifles have a nice way of doing 3.5 metric fucktons of damage.

Still, when I play Mechwarrior 4: Mercs, there is a certain satisfaction in linking up the heavy Gauss Rifles and taking out a light 'Mech like an Uller in one shot.

8. But if you miss, the Uller will do a tapdance on your backplate.
When and where do you play?

A Falconer. Enough said.

6. Kodiaks are fun, too.
I remember MechWarrior 2 Mercs. Once you got the Kodiak, you could go to Solaris and kick all sorts of ass with that thing.

7. I love to stand behind the Fafnir and shoot it, because it takes all day
To turn around. Right now, the Hellhound is serving me well for that task.

I've always had love for the Shadow Cat, Mad Dog/Vulture, Timber Wolf/Mad Cat, Grizzly, Gargoyle/Man o' War, and the Dire Wolf/Daishi.
