I've known for months that I had one but it didn't cause me any discomfort until it exited. Even then it was just a brief stabbing pain. I am verrrry verrrry lucky.

I also have a third ureter.

I'm rather happy that all I have to do is drop it off at the urologist's office!

They can grow to the size of golf balls! (Of course, those have to be removed surgically ans usually destroy that kidney.)

No, I have to turn it over to a lab for tests so they can determine what it's made of (and thereby determine how to alter my diet.)
