You mean currently right now prohibition would be bad for America, but it's currently good for muslim countries?
No. Bad all around. Even in muslim countries there are plenty of non-muslims who'd like a drink, and frankly I know plenty of Arabs and Muslims and they all have beer/wine/spirits in their houses. Granted theyr'e not fundies, but still. Plenty of Muslims drink, it's not this overriding prohibition as the media would make it seem.
Anything that restricts everyone's freedom like that is generally bad for the group. It might be good for individuals, but it's bad for the group.

Are you arguing that we should ban anything that can be used or abused to hurt people in a way not intended?

5. Yeah, banning drugs has really cut down on drug related deaths. |

we're all human beings and alcohol has a long history with humans it's just a dumb idea to prohibit it each nation should regulate it to whatever degree fits their culture but no prohibition. Prohibiting anything is usually a bad idea but history has proven it's a bad idea to prohibit alcohol in particular.
