Recent photos over in the photography forum |
|
In case anyone's interested, I posted some of my recent photos over in the photography forum. A couple are mildly NSFW, and there's a definite dial-up warning. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=280&topic_id=16559&mesg_id=16559And as long as I'm doing the shameless self-promotion, three more here, one mildly NSFW, but only in the USA. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=280&topic_id=16506&mesg_id=16506Hope you enjoy.

What kind of camera do you have? And dare I ask - what's the price range of that caliber of equipment?

It's not a terribly expensive camera... it was about $1000 when I got it last year, but it's come down considerably as I think they're going to announce the new version soon.
IMHO, a big factor in the quality a good lens, which was actually more than the camera... about $1500.

Don't do this for a living... nearly impossible to make a living doing model photography without having an ongoing connection to a magazine of some sort, and even then the competition is fierce. Worse than trying to make a living as a musician, I'd wager. That is, unless you want to spend 95% of your time doing weddings, baby portraits, and stuff like that. There are a number of ways to make a living with photography, but I'd rather do what I want to do for no money.
I hope I'm approaching the point where I can start to make a little money from this... so far, the only income has been $100 prize in an online photo contest, and I have yet to see that check materialize. :)
But thanks for your kind words... now if I can just talk Fleabert, LaraMN and some of the other DU lovelies into posing, THEN the fame and fortune will ensue, no doubt.

I love black and white...even my own drawings seem to end up monochromatic...
I like your calmness. Thank you for sharing...a little self-promotion now and again never hurts. :)

My calmness, eh? I think you're the first person to accuse me of that, but thank you. :)
