Why do opiates feel so good? |
|
On percocet right now - and this stuff gives you a mellow, good safe comfortable feeling.
Same with Vicodin.
And I hear the same thing about Heroin.
So what is it about opiates that does this?

1. Opiates mimic endorphins |
|
Endorphins are the body's own painkillers, produced during periods of high activity. That's what creates the "runner's high."
Both kill pain and make you feel good in the process.
