3. Cheapest round of cyber drinks I ever bought . . .
I thought DU was a sports hotbed. Two sides, a ball, score kept, I'm there!

4. Congratulations.
That was a big win. Do you have a connection to OSU? Or do you just like the orange and the black?

I know some people who will be very happy.

I'll just have a Cape Cod with Stoli, please.

5. Comin' up (whatever a Cape Cod is)
I live in Oregon, but I went to a teeny, tiny college in McMinnville called Linfield (many, many years ago). Grew up in Albany, which is 10 miles from Corvallis, where Oregon State is located.

6. I know McMinnville and Linfield.
Linfield has really sharp graduates; at least all the Linfield grads I have seen have been smart persons. And I know Albany from a past life when I would be on my way to Corvallis to do a spot of work.

Congratulations again.

16. No way - I have friends in Albany
I went to OSU in the 90's :)

For some reason those of us who preferred not to date from the Sorority dating pool ended up with girlfriends from Albany and Tangent

8. Now that was a gutty effort
They lost the first game 11-1. That meant several consecutive elimination games. Then they lose th e first game of the final series, meaning another elimination game before they finally had the chance to win it.

I'm glad the CWS went back to the best-of-three final series instead of the one game all-or-nothing that CBS insisted on when they were televising the final.

12. That was some ugly baseball
But highly entertaining. Not unlike little league. There is a reason these guys are not already in someone's farm system.

Congrats to the rodents for bringing another trophy to my conference. Question: does the the University of Oregon still get a share of the $$$ despite being the only Pac-10 school to NOT play baseball?

13. That's a good question
I have no idea, but I would bet it doesn't. When PAC-10 schools get football money, I know the Beavs don't get a share because they don't have a football team. :D

11. Cool ...
Go Pac-10. The Beavers need some national titles.

Interestingly, they did it mostly with Oregon kids, unlike in football where OSU and UO have to raid California for players. ;)
