I love Paula Deen!

She reminds me of the southern grandmother that I never had. She just cooks good comfort foods, and damn the calories! Yesterday, she made a cheese spread that featured a pound of cream cheese and a stick of butter...that takes balls! Her show is my favorite show on Food Network

Oh yeah and her sons are hotties too!

2. I ate at The Lady & Sons in Savannah back in May

They use every bit of butter she says to! :D I can't eat like that often, but just that once, it was fine. They serve garlic cheese biscuits and hoecakes as soon as you sit down, and they'll bring you more if you want. :) Neither Paula nor the boys were there, but I understand when they are, they come around and greet everyone.

5. Be sure you get reservations well in advance!

If you have fewer than 10 people in your party, you need to get reservations on the same day. For lunch, make the reservations no later than 9:30 AM, and for dinner, no later than 2 PM. Otherwise, you may not get in, and if you do, it'll be very, very late. We had 10 people and made reservations weeks ahead of time, but we saw many people turned away. They stay PACKED! Lots of people love her artery-clogging goodness! :D

Oh, and be sure to try her gooey butter cake.... YUM!!! :9

I know other Southern ladies like her. They love to cook and entertain and really have a sense of joy for life!
