Bracing For The Horrible Awful Terrible Campaign Ads! |
|
Not that they could be much worse than the "Join Arnold" blitz we just had to suffer through in CA...UGH!
But truly this is going to be really disgusting. The Bush = God And Country shit, yikes.
I really, REALLY hope the Dems can get some INTERESTING AND EVEN FUNNY ADS THIS YEAR. I swear to God, am I the only one who groans when they do the *click* "about face" (turning over the card/two faced politician graphic) with the corny voice over? NO MORE!
The funniest ad I think would be to piece together all the dumb shit GWB has said into compilations and run a different one every week. Or run pieces of his last campaign about how he wouldn't run us into horrible deficits and didn't believe in nation building etc.
Can't Michael Moore get behind making some great and creative ads for the Dem this year? He sounded like he might not go Green this time, considering what's at stake.
Let's face it 20% of the people are hardliners who vote their party no matter what; 20% actually know what's up, they will vote Dem this time; what wins the elections the way they are set up is LOTS AND LOTS OF BRAIN WASHING THROUGH TV AND RADIO ADS. I really believe that!

1. Borrow "The Daily Show"........ |
|
Bush debating himself. Contradicting everything he promised as Governor while being (and I shudder to say this) President. It's a perfect way to portray Bush as the bait and switch used car salesman that he is.

on moveon.org? They're asking for people to submit ideas for an anti-Bush ad. I think Moore is involved in this. Your idea of sinking Bush with his own words is a good one. I think it would be great to contrast Bush's words with his actions. We need to pack a powerful punch in 30 seconds. I'm hoping that guy who did the Florida election flash that was making the rounds about a month ago is submitting an idea. That was pretty powerful, and if he can target Bush like he targetted Katherine Harris, James Baker and voter purging in the 2000 election fraud--Wow!

3. Show footage from David Letterman, when Bush made that bizarre |
|
joke about cutting Letterman open and sewing him back up again. I'll never forget David Letterman staring at the audience with that expression that says, "Is this kook really a presidential candidate?"

4. My suggestion: turn of the TV |

when the heat starts turning up. You will spare yourself plenty of trash.
I can only imagine how the Rat-publicans are going to portray their man. I got onto Half-wit Bush's web site by accident. There was a photo of him in a cowboy hat, looking noble. The top line said "Keeping our Country Safe", or something to that effect.
I believe that's going to be their main motto, since they really can't claim anything else. Of course, Keeping our country safe is a big lie, as well.

the ads should attack the Shrub left and right....and point out all the lies he has said over the past 3 years.
