Good Saturday Morning, Crew!

:hi::donut:
Welcome to the Saturday edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: Thank you for being here with me! The weekend is upon us, Crew! :woohoo: I hope you had a great work week, and now you can relax and have some fun for the next two days! I have to work both days, but I have Monday and Tuesday off, so I'm looking forward to those!

I got a late start this morning, and I hate that, because now my whole schedule is off. We had a small party for two employees who are leaving the company and I didn't get home until late. Still though, I had a good time and I'll be sad to see them both go. We went to a place called "Miller's Alehouse" here in Tallahassee (it's sort of a sports bar with really good food) and we laughed, ate and drank and talked about "old times"! :bounce: I didn't get home from that until after midnight which is waaaay past MY bedtime.

So, what are your plans for this weekend? Anything exciting? Let's get this day started so we can enjoy the two days off, shall we? Time to rise and shine, my crew!

Song Of The Day: "The Prayer" by Charlotte Church

It was a lot of fun! I don't drink. Period. So, I had Dr. Pepper all night and ordered some food! I wish we did that more often, and not just when someone is leaving.

I just went to change some sterling to Canadian dollars, and get home to find they gave me the exhange rate for sterling to Euros instead! It says so on the receipt!

It's a fucking HUGE difference as well (not in my favour). Better get back there pretty soon.

Yes, we had a lot to catch up. It was really nice.

And no, I am not putting my life on hold after I got a second email where he explainded (or tried to explain) why he wants a break(-up). I might take a couple of days or weeks to get over him but in the end I am more important to me than he is. I hope that doesn't sound selfish. And I do have friends and family who support me.

It is nice to have you back. I missed you.

32. It was sort of funny.
I couldn't sleep, so I went into the guest room to watch TV and fell alseep in there. Next thing, I hear, "I'm home!" , I look up, and there he is standing in the hallway with his bags slung over his shoulder ... just like in the movies. :loveya: When we got done hugging and all that, he went into the bedroom (with the hung-on-the-line sheets on the bed, remember ...) and said, "Why does it smell so GOOD in here?" He held the kitties, one at a time, and they were all glad to see him. This is how it's SUPPOSED to be!

It's on his Sogno CD. Celine Dion does a different one on her Miracle CD that I really like, too. No, I haven't heard Andrea Bocelli singin "Mille Lune Mille Onda" ... or else I didn't recognize it. It's funny, but I have three or four of his CDs and only ever listen to Sogno for some reason. BTW, Josh Groban did The Prayer with Charlotte Church and it's good, too, but I don't like it quite as much as the others.

Perfecto! If you get a chance to hear Mille Lune sometime, do! They used it in a commerical once (that's how I came to find out about the song) and I listen to it quite often! Of course, it's in Italian so I can't understand a WORD of it, but it's still beautiful!

Took kitty for a follow-up - her eyes are clear and only one ear needs to be treated. It was a lovely time - lots of biting and hissing - the thermometer insertion being the highlight. So we had a pleasant night - not much sleeping, but lots of mournful howling - retaliation??? So, now she's fine and I have a whopping headache. :hangover:

55. Good Saturday morning to everyone................
.....I'm getting a late start as well. Thank goodness it's Saturday and I don't have any appointments.

I've got one simple plan for the day, stay around air conditioning because we might have a little rain this weekend but then we will be entering a hot spell. So air conditioning will be a must for the next week or so. I don't like hot weather.

Be good to each other and remember to hammer away at those neocons/fundies.

61. Good morning Clint!
So you've been burning the midnight oil? I swear I live my life backwards. I go out during the week, and by the time the weekend rolls around, I'm tired and need to rest.

Had a great time in Minneapolis, although parts were a bit melancholy. My friends b/f's grandmother died, so we went to the memorial and helped out at the house reception. I met the granny during Christmas break, and it was nice hearing all the wonderful stories about her.

Got a chance to go canoing too, which I dearly love. Doing anything outdoors is a bonus for me.

So how has everyone been? I missed chatting here. Playing catch-up at work and here at home too.

71. Glad to hear
that everyone is doing well . . .

Oh, we also went to the Institute of Arts, spent almost an entire day there. They have a marvelous Asian section, which has a great collection of Japanese woodblock prints. I just LOVE Japanese prints, they have such wonderful stories behind them, and the Institute did a good job of supplying descriptions for each print.

I was a little disappointed about the African section though. I'm currently reading "King Leopold's Ghost" which is about the Congo. The Institute had marvelous artwork from the Congo, but no descriptions. Guess they need to do a little research. At least that's my opinion.
