Probably not MY team. Although, they're in 1st place, it's not been a great year.

I'm kind of pulling for Detroit. :)

15. If the Lions ever make a run, I'll pull for them, too.
Lions and Tigers fans have had it rough for a long time, especially Lions fans.

Now the Pistons? You're on your own there. ;)

Disclaimer though: if the Cardinals make the World Series, all bets are off. ;)

16. I won't even pull for the Lions
I've always been a Tigers fan and at least we've had some good years in the past. It's just been a long dry spell. As for the Lions, I don't ever remember them having a winning season (maybe when I was a little kid in the 50s). I've never been a fan. I concentrate on Michigan for my football. I'm much more of a college fan than a pro fan.

Olbermann actually picked the Tigers before the season started. I think he picked them second, though, because he wasn't sure they were quite ready to take it all. He did know they'd have a good season -- none of us had any clue.

17. That Keith. He's a smart one.
I thought they might be better, but not THIS good. :hi:

I think the Lions last won a championship in 1957, but I could be off by a year or two.

33. Hubby says you're right -- it was '57.
I, too, thought they'd be new and improved but I never dreamt they'd be in first place for most of the season.

47. But their last winning season was in 2000...
they didn't go all the way, but it was a fair season.

Lion's fans are the meanest people around...and dont' get me started on Detroit Bandwagon fans. When I moved here in '85 they were calling them (Red Wings) the Dead wings...Now everyone is a life long fan. :eyes:

44. Marlins beat the Mets in the last two games
Before this game. And the Mets are in first place in their division. So taking two out of three games against the first place team moves them one game closer.

36. They will
Sheff and Matsui are back for the last month of the season, just in time to help us in the pennet run. Cano is back after the break, we are getting Dotel later this month, plus we will prob. trade for somebody.

It will be a route 66 series, as the road connects the two stadiums.

Edited on Sun Jul-09-06 11:05 AM by Radical Activist
Just wondering. They were the biggest bunch of crybabies in the history of baseball. The Cubs haven't won in an even longer time, and the White Sox and been almost a century but you didn't see them making movies about what a bunch of whiny pansies they are.
