I wanna see a Wilford Brimley Superman, maybe age 150,000 years, and Bea Arthur to play his love interest.

Dammit, it's time to stop the agism and show an old superhero who can still kick ass and Wilford fits that bill!

And if they make Superman diabetic, that's even more interesting. Maybe even Superman's body isn't totally invincible, and succumbed to adult onset diabetes at age 120,000.

And maybe he doesn't fly like a speeding bullet any more, but sorta floats awkwardly like a weather balloon.

Maybe he still saves the world, but spends his off time mowing his lawn wearing shorts, socks, and sandals, and writing angry letters to the editor of the Daily Planet about the young people.

Why not? Why can't we have old superheroes who are still heroes? Why must it be a game only for the young and beautiful?

2. Apparently no one does.
I don't.

I remember that other idiotic TV show with the superhero idiot from the 80s, but can't think of the name.

5. He was a sort of afternoon horror movie host. An old, out of shape
retired, cigar chomping superhero. During breaks he'd tell almost pointless back-in-the-day stories of his adventures fighting crime and saving the world.

7. Ernest Borgnine and Tim Conway already play a very aged...
and senile dynamic duo on Spongebob Squarepants.

They are, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy!!!

12. speaking of which
in the graphic novel Kingdome Come, it deals with all DC superheroes, and their age...it was a fantastic read, and if you ever get the chance pick it up...I got the novelization, and that was fantastic, but the grahpic novel is more popular...

Also, Dark Knight Returns deals with an aging Batman, and that graphic, is still my top favorite read, in comics....
