Poll question: Not medical advice, just a cool poll!!!
When I see my GP next time, I will tell him of these things:

* Shortness of breath (particularly after even brief exercise)
* Periodic "Palpitations" (often after exercise but is a random event)
* Weakness (worse in the morning, but is worsening overall)
* Dizziness (particularly after brief exercise)
* Nausea (constant)
* Sweating (particularly after exercise)
* Cool, clammy skin (frequent)

I am under a LOT of stress right now with work. No jobs exist out there. There are signs that my tenure at work is about to end. :( I have nobody to turn to. And I still have a few bills to pay.

Do you think he'll continue to blame it on "anxiety"?

2. Anxiety/panic
probably is to blame. I'm no doctor, but I've had those symptoms before. Your physical symptoms, however they may or may not be caused by anxiety, are still an issue, and can be dangerous. People are hospitalized with anxiety issues, because they do affect the body, including the heart, sometimes severely. If your doctor checks you out and says it's stress, believe him, but also ask him what you can do about it, what steps you can take to relieve this, and talk about the severity and find out if you should be monitoring it closely. Especially the palpitations. For me, the bigger danger wasn't the racing heart, but the fact that my heart slowed down so much after an attack, which can cause you to pass out, among other things.

Instead of thinking of it as your doctor 'blaming' it on something, look at it as your doctor speaking as a trained professional, and ask the important questions as well as request solutions. If you're that mistrustful of him, find someone else.
