Post something nice about soccer.
It's more exciting than watching professional bass fishing.

13. Soccer riots, soccer hooligans...
the game seems to attract or inspire more violence related incidents than any other sport.
The fans and admirers refer to it as "passion" for the sport.

18. You realize I'm being a bit sarcastic.
So, some countries, tribal factions, ethnic groups, etc stop killing each other for a few days.

They do this to either participate in or watch a game where there's usually a good chance that some minor eruption of violence will occur either inside or outside the stadium. On occasions, that same behavior has or could take place involving other sports, but not nearly with the same frequency as occurs in soccer.

Come tommorrow they'll just pick-up where they left off and the bombing can continue.

20. Amazing how text based sarcasm misses its mark sometimes, isn't it?
I don't disagree, but I did miss the sarcasm and thought it was ludicrous to compare a soccer riot to a war.

They don't like soccer.

The rest of the world

OK- Let's move on.

6. Der Ball ist rund
"Der Ball ist rund, und das Spiel dauert neunzig Minuten. So viel ist schon mal klar. Alles andere ist Theorie."

(The ball is round, a game lasts 90 minutes. That's for sure. The rest is just theory).

16. It's better than any sport played on ice or an arena, 'cept basketball
I rather like it, actually. I'd watch NFL football or MLB baseball before it, but I'd rather watch my niece play high school soccer than most college football games, any hockey game (no offense to hockey fans, I just never learned to like it), or most other lesser sports. Soccer ties with the NBA, or rather I should say it depends on the NBA game and the soccer game.

So there. And I liked The Postman, too. Deal with it. (I said liked, not loved).
